Why weren't they?

Why was the girls not allowed to play or see sports?

My opinion myself as a girl I say that was no fair what so ever. Why? Because if the men were allowed then the girls should have be allowed to. If they can do it then a girl could do it to.

Matariki Returns

Today at reading, we read an article called Matariki Returns. We had to do a google drawing or google doc to explain what we do already know and then after we had read the article what new information we had learnt. I learnt some more about Matariki - that the group of stars is made of more than seven stars.

Get the target!

On Thursday we played Snag-Golf with Jae. What do you think Snag-Golf is? Snag golf is similar to real golf. There were 3 rules. Listen when he talks, don’t talk when Mrs Buchanan and Jae were talking and stop when he blows the whistle. We had to get in groups of 3. My two buddies were Shakia and Katrina. We had to use our hands first then we used the putter. We had to make the tennis ball stick to the sticky mat (Velcro). We had 7 snags first of all. Then we had to stand on our side and try to putt the ball. It was fun doing snag-golf. Thank you Jae.

Maths Area

Last week we did a maths activity. My buddy was Shakaia. We had to count how many squares were supposed to go on the big piece of paper. The number was 18. When we were ready we glued the squares onto the big paper. Then when we glued them on we drew flowers on  the squares. Then we had  write our name too. Then we were done.

Buddy Reading

My class, Room 10, does buddy reading with Room 4. Room 4 are good readers because my buddy knew most of the words she had to say and she did a good job. A couple of weeks later Room 4 came to Room 10. I showed my buddy my blog, our class blog and our class site.

Good Job Room 4!
