This is my decision about the bullfighting in Spain.
I think they should still do bullfighting because it is there passion. I think they should be allowed to because the people that do it wants to do it. I think they should because it what means a lot to them.
That is my reasons.
I love your blog. My name is Samuel. I agree with you on bullfighting.
ReplyDeleteHi Prudence,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that students from other countries are commenting on your blog. That's pretty cool :)
After reading through your reasons for retaining the sport of bullfighting, I must admit that I had to think long and hard about my own position. I have been quite strongly against bullfighting as a sport because it leads to the death of a number of innocent animals every year. The bulls that are used in the fights are often raised simply to be sacrificed in the ring. I can appreciate, however, that there is a long history of bullfighting in Spain and I do want to be respectful of other's cultural traditions. In this case, I still believe that bullfighting should be banned but I do think that it should be replaced by another traditional sport that many Spaniards value.
Thanks for making me think really carefully about this question and for giving us two compelling reasons to support the sport.
Well done, Prudence!
Best,
Rachel :)
