My silly story

For our homework last week we had to write a silly story using all of our spelling words. We had to write a beginning, middle and end. This is my story:

The adventure

Once upon a time there lived a guy called Francis. He’s 40 years old. He has brown eyes and blue hair. He went around Auckland to explore the places that he never has been before.

Well one day he stole a banana and ran for his life. The police caught him and they were surrounding him. He got caught and ended up in jail. Silly! Well a few weeks later he went back to his house. He had one silly problem he couldn't find his house! He only remembered that his house was on a parallel road.He didn’t know his location, he knew his road was a parallel road but nothing else. He saw a machete on the ground but he left it there. He was so confused. He sat down on the ground. Night came. He look up at the starry sky. He saw a crescent moon. He said “Will I find my way home?”. As he fell asleep he complained about some birds kicking him. He sharpened a stick on the ground. He kept it underneath some rags that he found.

He fell asleep. As he woke up in the morning he said “ actually”. He was getting an idea of where he lived. He said “ Avenue, Parallel, I know where I live now!” “56a BLUEBERRY STREET!” he shouted. He was near a house with plantation. He was walking when he saw a hot dog stand. The guy said “ Hey want a hot dog?” Francis said “ Yes please”. Exactly what I need! So he was walking down and saw a sign that said “ BLUEBERRY CENTRE”. He saw a reserve and he knew he was getting closer. He saw his landmark. 56a blueberry street. When he reach his home he said “ actually my home is better than the streets”. So he found his home and Francis lived happily ever after.

Run Jump Throw

Every Wednesday we go to run jump throw after morning tea. We do all of the activities with our coach Declan. Declan is from Kelly sports.First of all we had 3 simple rules. When coach Declan blows the whistle we have to freeze, When he is talking or Mrs Buchanan is talking we have to listen and last but not least to have fun. Our first lesson with Declan was running. Our second lesson was high jump. The third one was discus. Then our last one was shot put. My favorite game that we did with Declan was tidy the room. In tidy the room You had to throw the toy to the other side of the field to land in the other room so there's room is messy. The side with the less toys won. My favorite lesson that we learnt was Discus because it was cool learning how to throw it straight. We had a lot of fun learning all of the sport stuff that Declan taught us. Thank you Kelly Sport and Declan.

2016 Zoofari Trip

Going To Auckland Zoo
On Friday we went to the zoo for a whole day. When we got to the zoo we had to listen to a zoo teacher named Fraser. He told us some rules then he took the juniors to the Pridelands while the seniors were sorting the  groups. I was in Mrs Buchanan's group with Katrina, Alexandra, Leilani and Bella. We went up to see the red pandas. Sadly we did not see any. Then we went to see the otters they were so cute. Alexandra asked if she could swim. Miss said no you can’t. Then we went to the tigers and we caught up with Mr.Meyer's group. We couldn't find any tigers until Bella spotted one. Then we went to the other part of the tiger's enclosure and saw another one. After that we went to the rotunda and had our milk and morning tea. Then we went to see all the other animals like lions and birds and more animals. After that we went back to the meeting place then we waited for Fraser. When Fraser took us to the Pridelands we saw zebras, giraffes, hippos, meerkats and ostriches. Then we were taken to the new meerkats tunnels. When we left the room we went to go to lunch. We ate our lunch beside they elephants. When we finished we went to Tuis. When we were done we had to go back to the meeting place to leave. We got in our lines we left.

Kia ora New Zealand

Kahurangi people of the pacific

Yesterday 5 people came to our school there name is Kahurangi people of the pacific. It was cool to see them perform to the whole school. They did a great job at showing us different parts of pacific islands. The island they showed us was Cook Island,New Zealand, Hawaii, Tahiti and Samoa. They were so great I can’t wait for the next 2 years. At the end a lady called Michelle said they had time to answer question. My favorite question was when someone said how old are you? Then a guy said Were all older than everyone on the floor and younger than everyone sitting on a chair. They were all funny and cool and my favorite guy was Lucky because he said put your hand up if you know where Hastings is? Some people put there hand up. Then he said put your hand up if you do not know where Hastings is. I put my hand up cause I really do not know where Hastings is and then he said shame on you and I was laughing because he said it and he was just playing around. I hope i will see them again.

Polygon shape tiling

Last week we made paper bricks and put it on paper to make a brick wall. When we finished that we got to do that the same but on our Chromebook. We got to choose a shape and had to make it the same size and the same color. This is a polygon shape which was used out of diamonds and I used green and red. This is how it turned out:

It was hard to hold my prizes. For my prize I got a basketball, drink bottle, Rio 2 DVD, Slingshot, 2 chocolate bars and a book. I liked doing Winter learning Journey.
