Being Prime minster?

Would I like to be Prime Minster?

No not really. Why? Because Prime Minster is a really hard job to handle. You would have to always sign contracts, Do paper work.📁📁

  1. Hi Prudence,

You are definitely right when you note that the prime minister of a country has a great deal of responsibility. They also have to attend a number of meetings both here in New Zealand and overseas. I think that I would enjoy the opportunity to meet many interesting people but it would be very exhausting. Our recent prime minister, Mr John Key, actually resigned last December because he grew too weary and exhausted by the job to continue. He was also missing his family and he realised that he needed to be home in order to spend more time with them.

I hope that our new prime minister (Mr Bill English) doesn't find the job too tiring. Fortunately, he's worked in politics for years so he has a pretty good idea of what the job of PM involves. If you could choose a job for yourself that you think you would like, what would you pick? Would you like to become a teacher one day or an engineer? Perhaps you'd rather become an astronaut or an artist? There are so many options!

    Best,
    Rachel:)
