She is a really fascinating woman with a very unusual life story in that she became the First Lady of the United States of America in 1993 when her husband, Bill, became president. She was the First Lady for 8 years before, later, running for the head of the Democratic Party. She lost out to Barack Obama and then, eventually, won the leadership race last year and ran for president against Donald Trump. Sadly, she lost out to Trump in the November election.
If she had won the presidency race she would have set two American records - 1. She would have become the first ever female president of the USA and, 2. She would have been the first person in history to serve as both the President and the First Lady.
I hope that she runs for office again in the next election. Do you follow politics at all? I don't normally keep track of it but I have been watching it a bit recently because I'm interested to see what Donald Trump will do as leader of the USA. He's a bit of a loose cannon...
