On Thursday we played Snag-Golf with Jae. What do you think Snag-Golf is? Snag golf is similar to real golf. There were 3 rules. Listen when he talks, don’t talk when Mrs Buchanan and Jae were talking and stop when he blows the whistle. We had to get in groups of 3. My two buddies were Shakia and Katrina. We had to use our hands first then we used the putter. We had to make the tennis ball stick to the sticky mat (Velcro). We had 7 snags first of all. Then we had to stand on our side and try to putt the ball. It was fun doing snag-golf. Thank you Jae.
I am a Year 6 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Mrs Buchanan.

Maths Area
Last week we did a maths activity. My buddy was Shakaia. We had to count how many squares were supposed to go on the big piece of paper. The number was 18. When we were ready we glued the squares onto the big paper. Then when we glued them on we drew flowers on the squares. Then we had write our name too. Then we were done.

Buddy Reading
My class, Room 10, does buddy reading with Room 4. Room 4 are good readers because my buddy knew most of the words she had to say and she did a good job. A couple of weeks later Room 4 came to Room 10. I showed my buddy my blog, our class blog and our class site.

What's the difference?
WALT measure the length of objects to the nearest tenth of a centimeter.
We did a measurement to see how big our hand is compared to Steven Adams. We had a buddy to help us with our measurement. First we had to draw around our hand on a piece of coloured paper. Then we had to measure our hand, the span and the length. After we had written our name on the piece of paper and the span and the length measurement, we cut it out and glued it in our maths book. This is what I worked out.

Home and school
Whanau Hui
Last week we had a Chromebook celebration. A lot of parents came. There were 3 ladies involved. Yayleen Hubbard, Mrs Grant and Mrs Buchanan. My dad came to the Chromebook celebration. We went through the whanau slip and then my dad talked to Yayleen and Mrs Grant. Then Mrs Buchanan gave him the contract to sign. I was waiting so I took some food. Then my dad was done so I found my Chromebook case and put my Chromebook in there and then we went to the library so I finished some of my work and then we went home but I could not finish my work because I had no Internet.
