Milo of Croton



1.Milo of Croton was a 6th century BC Greek wrestler

2.He came from the Greek city of Croton in southern Italy. 

3. Among other tales, he was said to have carried a bull on his shoulders and to have burst a band about his forehead by inflating the veins of his temples.

  1. Wow, Prudence, you have found some really interesting information about Milo of Croton. He sounds like quite a fascinating man! I also read that he saved a philosopher's life when his house came crashing down and eventually married the philosopher's daughter, Myia. I wish that I could have been alive 2792 years ago and met him in person. Is there anyone you wish that you could have met in real life who is no longer alive?
